Dear Villano Families:
I would like to thank all of you for welcoming me into the Villano family. My first month as Mrs. Espinoza’s maternity leave replacement has been a rewarding experience. I particularly appreciate the respectful manner in which the parent community supports the work of our staff. Your partnership enables us to create an environment in which children are both challenged and supported.
I wish you and your families a joyful Thanksgiving.

Dear Villano School Parents/Guardians,
As I begin my first day as interim principal at Villano School, I want to take a minute to introduce myself and to thank you for welcoming me into the Villano “family.”
I am a recently retired school principal, having worked for the last 16 years in the Franklin Lakes Public Schools. As an educator, my guiding principle is, “Kids First.” Putting the needs of children at the forefront of all the work I do has served me well throughout my 28 year educational career, and I feel confident that it will also support the children of Villano School.
Although I have spent most of my career in Bergen County, my husband and I live in Livingston, NJ. We have two grown children and an adorable four-year old grandson. In addition, I am blessed to have a soon-to-be 90 year-old mom, who lives close to us.
I look forward to getting to know you better over the course of the next four months. To that end, I invite you to stop by the Villano courtyard at 2:15 P.M. on October 31st prior to the Halloween parade to say hello. Please also feel free to stop in before or after your parent-teacher conferences next week.
It is a pleasure to have an opportunity to serve the Emerson community. I look forward to working in partnership with you to ensure that your children continue to love learning, and in particular, that they continue to view Villano School as their home away from home.
Create a poster with your family showing WHY YOU READ. Posters will be displayed on the halls of the Villano School for all to see and enjoy. Please submit your creative posters to the main office by Monday, 9/23!
